There are 4 STARS!!

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

I happened to notice today that my rating on Wordpresses site has dropped down to 4 Stars! It had been at 5 Stars for awhile… what happened?
If there’s anything that you don’t like or you feel is missing with the plugin, please feel free to let me know and I can try to work changes into the next release… and if you comment your suggestion in this thread by June 8th, you might even win a prize!
I try to be easily approachable, so hopefully I can help out anyone who ranked less than 5 ;)

Louisa (my fiancé) finally launched her blog, and wrote her first post. :D
I helped get her started, but she needs some encouragement – so head over and check out her site, bookmark it, subscribe to her feed, whatever.

Armory Info

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

I’d like to thank everyone who has submitted bug information or help requests in the last couple of days – please be assured that I am looking into these issues, but work and other stuff has prevented me from finding a solution just yet… sorry.
I’m going to try to figure something out by the end of the week…

Updates + the future

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

First, as much as I would like to revamp my whole site, it is more and more evident that it’s not going to be possible to do so right now – I simply do not have the time or energy to pull it off, and there are many other things I would like to do that take less time to implement. That being said, I have updated to the latest version of iNove, and have made a few changes to customize things… unfortunately, some of the JavaScript in the theme has stopped working, but I’m working on a solution.

I’ve received a few different suggestions and requests for changes to the wow-guild plugin. I’m working on a major version update to the plugin, and I will be taking these suggestions into account. If you have anything you would like to see added to either plugin, please let me know. I plan to add an option to filter out characters below a certain rank, and, if possible, grab more info about each individual character.

As always, I keep thinking of ideas of things that I would like to work on… (more…)

wow-armory 2.9 Update

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

I made some changes to the wow-armory plugin, thanks to Joost de Valk!

I switched from using cURL to Snoopy, which should help with grabbing the data from the Armory.

I also changed the Cache time to 15 minutes, which should cut down on the number of requests to the Armory site.

You should be able to grab the latest version now.

wow-guild will be receiving similar treatment in the near future.

Improvements to wow-armory plugin + Linkbacks + Styles

Friday, February 27th, 2009

I’ve made some improvements to the wow-armory plugin:

Talents: You can now display your talent build. This option can be disabled per widget. You will see a link to your Talent in the Armory, displayed as “X / Y / Z”, where X, Y, and Z are the points spent in your First, second and third tree respectively. I’m not sure if the Armory will change to show your Dual-specs after patch 3.1, but I can change this if it does. Also, you’ll see the icon for your spec – if you have more talents in “Beast Mastery”, for example, you’ll see that icon.

Linkbacks: I have added an option to display a link back to my site. I debated for awhile how I can help get the word out on my addons, and this was, I believe, the best solution. This is completely optional, and it should default to “No”, so no one will show any links unless they choose to enable the option. Both the wow-armory and wow-guild plugin have this feature. You can turn on the linkbacks on a per-widget basis, or within shortcodes using linkback="1"

The link looks like this: powered_by

Shortcodes: You can use the shortcode:

Character portrait
of -US or EU
Level

You must have at least the char, realm, and realmtype specified.
