Things always seem to fall apart at the worst times…
Our hot water heater started shooting sparks the other day, so we deduced that we needed to replace the upper element. After flooding the house with scalding hot water, and then wrestling with the old element, which had been the wrong kind to begin with (someone had bent, and twisted, and crammed the old element to make it fit…), we replaced it, turned on the water, and then later turned on the power, only to have the whole thing burst with hot water from the emergency pressure valve, and flood the house again.
The next morning, we had a guy come look at it, who determined that it was fine, and that air-bubbles were the culprit, so everything was turned back on – only to have it flood the house a third time, less than an hour later.
So, a new heater was purchased, hours of work to remove the old one, and install the new one, and we’ve got hot water, but we’re $500 poorer.
Needless to say, I haven’t had a chance to start working on any of the other plugins I want to work on – and thanks to the surprise expense of the new machinery, putting any money towards hosting this site is out for now.
Which means, unless I suddenly find a bunch of money somewhere, or I get a few donations, this site is probably going to go offline within the week.
As of this morning, I have $0.19 in my hosting account.
I would really like to continue coding helpful plugins for people, and I definitely want to keep the information page for my wow-armory plugin available to everyone, but that’s not going to be possible without help.
